BEIJING, Nov. 6 -- The 12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) passed the UN fourth-quarter equipment inspection on November 4, 2026.

The inspection team comprised 12 staff members from seven technical sections of UNMISS, including ammunition, medical services, and firefighting.

Following a comprehensive inspection of the vehicles, weapons, ammunition, communications equipment and camp facilities, all equipment and materiels were found to meet the standards prescribed by the UN.
