BEIRUT, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- A Lebanese woman was killed and several others injured on Thursday in Israeli airstrikes targeting towns in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.
The agency said the casualties were caused when an Israeli airstrike hit and destroyed a house in Arabsalim, in the Iqlim al-Tuffah area of Nabatieh district.
Israeli warplanes carried out a second airstrike on Arabsalim less than 10 minutes later, while an Israeli drone conducted a two-wave strike on Nabatieh al-Fawqa, the report said. Another airstrike targeted an industrial area between Kfar Remmen and Nabatieh.
The strikes came amid continued tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border, following the seventh round of Lebanese-Israeli talks held in Rome, Italy, on Aug. 6.
The talks focused on security arrangements along the border and the implementation of a framework agreement between the two sides.
