DJIBOUTI, May. 15 (ChinaMil) -- The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Support Base in Djibouti conducted on May 12 a live ammunition exercise at a national shooting range in Djibouti to inspect the performance of armaments and improve the troops' combat effectiveness in counter-terror actions and quick-response capability to emergencies under high temperature environment.
Featuring counter-terrorism operations, the exercise involved 15 subjects including armored group assaulting, multi-route pursuing and attacking, heavy and light firepower coordinated shooting, with various types of weapons used to conduct precision strike against the "terrorists" targets.
The exercise tested the capabilities of operational commanding, communication coordination, logistic and equipment support of the base.
