BEIJING, April 21 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of 100 young military officers from African countries and the African Union on Sunday started a weeklong visit to China at the invitation of China's Ministry of National Defense.
The visit is expected to promote exchanges between Chinese and African military officers, deepen the friendly relationship between China and African militaries, and strengthen China-Africa cooperation regarding peace and safety.
The African military officers will visit military academies, troops, enterprises in the defense industry and high-tech businesses in China.
They will also listen to lectures on various topics, including the Belt and Road and China-Africa military relationship.
