BEIJING, July 19 -- Recently, an army aviation brigade under the PLA Xinjiang Military Command conducted flight training on plateau at the elevation above 4,200 meters, in view of the fact that alpine cold and lack of oxygen can make equipment performance decline significantly.
The training aimed to enhance the pilots' flying expertise and break through the limit of main combat equipment's combat capability in plateau operations.
