The leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is the most fundamental and decisive factor for the great achievements made by the People's Republic of China since its founding over 70 years ago, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai has said.
"I'd like to commend the CPC (Communist Party of China) and the Chinese people for the great achievements over the past century, particularly the first centenary goal," Cambodia's Senate President Samdech Say Chhum said recently.
In his important speech at the ceremony marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), President Xi expounded on the Party's experience in commanding and building up the armed forces, spoke highly of the indelible achievements of the people's military on behalf of the Party and the people and its vital role, and set out clear targets of accelerating the modernization of national defense and the armed forces.
When Communist Party of China Central Committee General Secretary Xi Jinping said in his speech on July 1 that "we will never allow any foreign force to bully, oppress or subjugate us. Anyone who would attempt to do so will find themselves on a collision course with a great wall of steel forged by over 1.4 billion Chinese people", quite a few interpreted it as an "assertive" China declaring a fresh round of confrontation with a no-longer-friendly West.
President Xi Jinping expressed his thanks in a recent letter for the contribution made by foreign friends who fought side by side with the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people and contributed to the country's revolution, construction and reform.
On November 15, 1971, headed by then Vice Foreign Minister Qiao Guanhua, the delegation of the People's Republic of China (PRC) made its debut at the United Nations (UN) Assembly Hall.
