A Y-9 transport aircraft attached to an aviation regiment of the air force under the PLA Western Theater Command carried out a cross-border air transport mission recently.
This regiment is the first unit to accomplish the take-off and landing of homemade transport aircraft at a high-plateau airport with an elevation of 2,438m and above.
This time, the Y-9 transport aircraft flew continuously for nearly 40 hours with a flight distance exceeding 10,000 kilometers, breaking multiple records since the Y-9 aircraft was commissioned.
