BEIJING, Sept. 10 -- On the morning of September 8, China Coast Guard (CCG) patrol ships Changshan and Shicheng completed the annual fisheries law enforcement patrol mission in the high seas of the North Pacific Ocean and returned to harbor.
北京9月10日电 9月8日上午,中国海警长山舰和石城舰组成的舰船编队圆满完成2024年北太平洋公海渔业执法巡航任务,顺利返港。
It marked the ninth patrol in the high seas of the North Pacific Ocean conducted by the CCG. It's also the first time that the CCG has conducted law enforcement in the high seas with a helicopter. During the 45-day patrol mission, the patrol ships travelled more than 17,600 nautical miles in more than 2,100 hours.
这是中国海警在北太平洋公海开展的第9次巡航,也是首次带直升机随舰执行公海飞行执法任务。此次巡航历时45天,航程17600余海里,航时2100余小时。
According to relevant resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly and the Convention on the Conservation and Management of High Seas Fisheries Resources in the North Pacific Ocean, the CCG observed and recorded 73 fishing boats of different countries, boarded and checked 18 boats, and dispatched 12 sorties of helicopters to conduct law-enforcement flights over the high seas, which has strengthened the supervision of fishing vessels and maintained the fisheries production order of the North Pacific Ocean.
其间,编队根据联合国大会相关决议和《北太平洋公海渔业资源养护和管理公约》有关规定,共观察记录各国渔船73艘,登临检查18艘,直升机公海飞行执法12架次,加强作业渔船巡查监管,维护了北太平洋渔业生产秩序。
