PLA Macao Garrison holds 15th open day

MACAO, May 2 (ChinaMil) -- The Macao Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) held the 15th open day at its Taipa Barracks on April 29, which attracted over 3,000 people from all walks of life in Macao.

The open day activities began at 10 a.m. with a national flag raising ceremony. After a guard of honor composed of 113 soldiers of the garrison marched past the reviewing stand, all the servicemen and visitors present stood solemnly and sang the national anthem while watching the Chinese national flag rising up.

The military band of the garrison greeted the audience with an instrumental performance, and the guard of honor performed stunts of flipping their rifles with fancy actions. The special troops served the audience a mass exercise of free fighting and martial arts.

Female soldiers performed motorcycle driving acrobatics, which followed by demonstrations of special operations training, car driving and anti-terrorism operations training. The spectators cheered with excitement.

After the military training demonstrations, the visitors watched a display of weapons and field kitchen equipment, toured the garrison’s armored force simulation training center and the soldiers' dormitory.
