The end of year 2020 is right here. It’s an extraordinary year for all the Chinese people and the people’s army. During this year, the Chinese military focused on combat readiness and has been constantly writing a new chapter of strengthening the country and the military.

1月2日，中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平签署中央军委2020年1号命令，向全军发布开训动员令。这是习主席连续第三年发布开训动员令。
President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), signed a mobilization order for the training of the armed forces on January 2, the first order of the CMC in 2020. The year 2020 is the third consecutive one that Xi has issued a training order to the military.
