China Coast Guard (CCG) will as always conduct law-enforcement activities in waters under China's jurisdiction and resolutely safeguard China's national sovereignty and maritime rights and interests", said Gan Yu, spokesperson for China Coast Guard in a written statement on Sunday.
According to the spokesperson, from February 2 to 9, the vessel 9701 of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) illegally and repeatedly intruded into the waters adjacent to China's Huangyan Dao. "China Coast Guard took measures of route control and expulsion against the Philippine Coast Guard vessel that ignored the Chinese side's verbal warnings in accordance with the law. The on-site disposal of China Coast Guard was professional and standardized," stressed the spokesperson.
