The China Coast Guard and the Russian Federal Security Service hold the second high-level meeting in Beijing on October 21st, 2024.

BEIJING, Oct. 25 -- The China Coast Guard (CCG) and the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) held the second high-level meeting in Beijing on Monday. The meeting was co-chaired by Major General Yu Zhong, director general of CCG, and Admiral Roman Tolok, deputy director of the Russian FSB Border Service and head of the Coast Guard Department.

The two sides reviewed the cooperation achievements of the two agencies in 2024, fully affirmed the positive outcomes since the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on strengthening cooperation in maritime law enforcement, spoke highly of the success of the first joint exercise and patrol mission between the two coast guards, and exchanged views on topics of common interest.

In addition, they expressed the need to further deepen pragmatic maritime cooperation, enhance the joint operational capabilities of the two coast guards in the far seas, and make positive contributions to consolidating and developing China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for the new era, safeguarding maritime security and stability, and building a maritime community with a shared future.

The delegation of the Russian FSB visited the Qingdao Coast Guard agency after the meeting.
