BEIJING, July 26 -- The Chinese naval vessels which had just concluded China-Russia Northern/Interaction-2023 exercise arrived in Vladivostok, Russia for a friendly visit, on July 24.
During the welcome ceremony, the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet expressed their welcome in a traditional Russian way. Chinese military attachés in Russia, representatives from the Chinese embassy and consulates in Russia, representatives from Chinese-funded institutions, and local overseas Chinese attended the ceremony.
During the visit, the Chinese and Russian navies will engage in activities such as open-day activities, deck receptions, cultural and sports exchanges, as well as reciprocal visits.
Before this, the Chinese naval vessels departed from Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province on July 15, and conducted China-Russia Northern/Interaction-2023 exercise under the theme of safeguarding the safety of strategic maritime passage with Russian naval and air forces from July 20 to July 23. They completed training on subjects such as maritime and air escort, deterrence and expelling, and comprehensive defense.
