BEIJING, March 2 -- The Reservists Law of the People's Republic of China has been officially put into effect since March 1, 2023.
The law was reviewed and adopted at the 38th Session of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) on December 30, 2022.The law, composed of 65 articles in 10 chapters, comprehensively regulates the leadership and management system, identity attribute and the classification of the reservists, as well as their military ranks, education and training, promotion and appointment, routine management, benefit guarantee, retirement, legal responsibilities, etc.
The promulgation and implementation of the Reservists Law marks a breakthrough in the reform of the reservist system and is of great significance to strengthening the construction of the reserve force in accordance with the rule of law, and promoting its transformation and development.
