The Chinese PLA Army has sent troops to Austria at invitation to participate in the international mountain infantry competition Edelweiss Raid 2023 from February 27 to March 2, said Senior Colonel Tan Kefei, a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, at a regular press conference on Thursday.
2月27日至3月2日，中国人民解放军陆军应邀组队赴奥地利参加“雪绒花突击-2023”国际山地步兵比赛。
This competition is conducive to deepening friendly and practical cooperation between the Chinese and Austrian militaries and promoting exchanges and mutual trust between the Chinese military and the participating militaries, said the spokesperson.
此次参赛有利于深化中奥两军友好务实合作，促进中国军队与各参赛国军队的交流与互信。
