BEIJING, June 20 -- General Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission (CMC), met withChairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Pakistan Army Sahir Shamshad Mirza in Beijing on Tuesday afternoon.
张又侠说，中巴是全天候战略合作伙伴，两国“铁杆”情谊历经国际风云变幻考验，坚如磐石、牢不可破。中方愿同巴方共同落实好两国领导人达成的重要共识，进一步密切高层交往和战略沟通，充实拓展务实合作，携手应对各种全球性挑战。两军关系是两国关系的重要支柱，希望两军继续在战略上相互支持，推动防务安全合作走深走实，共同维护国际及地区和平稳定。
General Zhang Youxia said that as all-weather strategic cooperative partners, Pakistan and China's iron-clad friendship has stood the test of the international vicissitudes and isrock-solid .China is ready to work with the Pakistani side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further strengthen high-level exchanges and strategic communication, enrich and expand practical cooperation, and jointly deal with various global challenges.
He also said that the mil-to-mil relationship is an important pillar of bilateral relations. It is hoped that the two militaries will continue to support each other strategically, push fordeeper and more solid defense and security cooperation, and jointly safeguard international and regional peace and stability.
萨希尔说，巴中友谊比山高、比海深、比钢硬、比蜜甜。感谢中国对巴基斯坦发展与安全的长期大力支持。无论国际和地区形势如何变化，巴方都坚定支持中方在台湾、西藏、新疆、香港等问题上的原则立场。巴军愿深化与中国军队在高层互访、联演联训、反恐维稳等各领域合作，捍卫共同利益，促进共同发展。
Sahir said that the Pakistan-China friendship is higher than mountains, deeper than oceans, stronger than steel and sweeter than honey . He thanked China for its long-term and strong support for Pakistan's development and security.No matter how the international and regional situation changes, Pakistan will firmly supportChina's principled position on theTaiwan question, and on the issues related to Xizang,Xinjiang and Hong Kong .
He added that the Pakistani militaryis willing to deepen cooperation with the Chinese military in various fields such as high-level exchanges, joint training and exercises, counter-terrorism and stability maintenance, in a bid to safeguard common interests and promote common development.
