TARAWA, July 17 -- Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark, which is on the Harmonious Mission 2023, arrived in Tarawa, the capital of Kiribati, on July 15 for a seven-day goodwill visit. During the visit, it will provide a series of humanitarian medical services to local people.
塔拉瓦7月15日电 执行“和谐使命-2023”任务的中国海军和平方舟医院船15日抵达基里巴斯首都塔拉瓦，开始对基里巴斯进行为期7天的友好访问并提供医疗服务。
This is the first visit to Kiribati by Peace Ark, and a Chinese naval vessel as well.
这是和平方舟医院船首次访问基里巴斯，也是中国海军舰船首次到访基里巴斯。
During the seven-day medical service, medical personnel aboard Peace Ark will diagnose and treat patients onsite. At the same time, they will send multiple teams to Tungaru Central Hospital, the Society for the Aged, and local communities respectively. The medical staff of Tungaru Central Hospital will also be invited to jointly carry out medical services aboard the hospital ship. The 2nd batch of the Chinese medical team to Kiribati, which is carrying out tis international aid mission, will assist in the related medical activities.
在为期7天的医疗服务中，和平方舟医院船将对前来就诊的患者进行诊治，同时派出多支医疗队前出基里巴斯中央医院、老人协会、社区巡诊，并邀请基里巴斯中央医院医护人员在医院船主平台共同开展医疗服务。正在执行援外任务的第二批中国援基里巴斯医疗队将协助开展相关医疗服务工作。
During the visit, Peace Ark will also conduct health education and cultural exchanges with the local people.
访问期间，和平方舟医院船还将在当地开展健康宣教和文化联谊等活动。
