BEIJING, Mar. 11 -- The China Coast Guard (CCG) delegation attended the 24th North Pacific Coast Guard Forum (NPCGF) Experts Meeting in Tokyo, Japan, from March 4 to 8.
北京3月11日电3月4日至8日，中国海警局代表团赴日本东京参加了第24届北太平洋地区海岸警备执法机构论坛专家会。
The meeting was hosted by the Japan Coast Guard and attended by the members of the forum including the CCG, Canadian Coast Guard, Japan Coast Guard, ROK Coast Guard and US Coast Guard, with the Chinese side leading the Counter-Trafficking Working Group.
本次会议由日本海上保安厅主办，中国海警局和加拿大海岸警备署、日本海上保安厅、韩国海洋警察厅、美国海岸警卫队等论坛成员参会，中方牵头打击非法贩运工作组。
During the meeting, the attendees had in-depth and pragmatic discussions on topics such as multilateral maritime cooperation, countering maritime illicit trafficking, high sea fisheries enforcement patrols in the North Pacific, maritime emergency rescue, ecological and environmental protection, information-sharing in law enforcement, joint exercises and safeguarding maritime security and stability. Meanwhile, consensus was reached on the cooperation plan of this year.
The meeting plays a critical role in the promotion of trans-regional exchanges and cooperation in such fields as maritime security, marine environmental protection and capacity building, and will further benefit the regional maritime security and stability.
会议围绕加强多边海上合作、共同打击海上非法贩运活动、协调北太平洋公海渔业执法巡航、交流海上应急救援和生态环境保护经验、加强执法信息交互、组织论坛联合演练、维护海上安全稳定等内容进行了深入务实的讨论，就本年度合作计划达成共识，对推动开展跨地区的海上安全、海洋环保、能力建设等领域交流合作、维护地区海上安全稳定具有重要意义。
