VIENTIANE, July 11 -- The China-Laos "Friendship Shield-2024" joint exercise entered the mixed-group joint training phase at the training ground of Kommadam Academy of the Lao People's Armed Forces (LPAF) from July 6 to 9 as scheduled.
万象7月11日电 根据计划，7月6日至9日，中老“友谊盾牌-2024”联演在老挝人民军库玛丹学院训练场进入混编联训阶段。
Instructional exchanges were organized for live-fire shooting with various firearms, including light and heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and vehicle-mounted mortars, aiming to improve the basic skills of participating troops of the two sides in rapid pistol shooting, rifle shooting in different positions, and long-distance sniper rifle shooting in unfamiliar terrain.
此次联训先后组织了轻重机枪、狙击步枪、榴弹发射器和车载迫击炮等多个火器实弹射击课目的教学交流，提高双方官兵在陌生地域环境手枪快速射击、步枪多姿势射击、狙击枪远距离射击等基本技能。
Participating troops of the two sides also actively engaged in exchanges involving armored infantry squad coordination inside and outside vehicles, mine clearance and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) equipment operations, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) countermeasures, catching and grappling, battlefield casualty treatment, and others.
两军官兵还积极开展装甲步兵班车内外协同、扫雷排爆装置操作、无人机反制、擒拿格斗、战伤救治等多个课目的交流，互相探讨课题、吸收经验。
Manned-unmanned teaming was a highlight of the mixed-group training. The two sides jointly drilled the subject of battlefield explosive ordnance disposal. The command group directed engineers from both sides to perform precision fast-roping. The Chinese engineers operated drones to guide EOD robots to the operational site. The robots successfully relocated explosives to designated locations for Lao engineers to swiftly organize disposal operations. The coordination between the two sides was seamless and efficient.
有人无人协同也是本次联演联训的一个亮点。双方共同演练了战场排爆课目，陆上行动指挥组指挥中老工兵力量实施定点机降，中方工兵首先熟练操作无人机，引导排爆机器人到达作业点，排爆机器人将爆炸物转移至相应位置，老方工兵迅速组织排爆作业，两军配合默契流畅。
It is learned that the two sides will carry out targeted training based on various subjects, in a bid to lay a solid foundation for the successful completion of the exercise.
接下来，双方将围绕演练课题进一步展开针对性训练，为顺利完成联演任务打下坚实基础。
