DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania, July 17 -- On July 16 local time, the Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark arrived at the port of Das es Salaam, Tanzania, its second stop of Mission Harmony 2024. During its seven-day goodwill visit, it would provide free medical services to local residents.
达累斯萨拉姆7月17日电 当地时间16日，执行“和谐使命-2024”任务的海军“和平方舟”号医院船抵达任务第二站达累斯萨拉姆港，开始对坦桑尼亚进行为期7天的友好访问并提供医疗服务。
Around 10 a.m. that day, the hospital ship Peace Ark docked at the port of Dar es Salaam, where it was greeted with a grand traditional welcome ceremony held by the Tanzanian side. The ceremony was attended by Tanzanian military and political officials, including Chief of Medical Services of the Tanzania People's Defense Forces (TPDF) Major General Amri Mwami, Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania Chen Mingjian, Chinese embassy staff, local people, overseas Chinese and representatives of Chinese-funded institutions.
上午10时许，“和平方舟”号医院船缓缓抵靠达累斯萨拉姆港。坦方在码头举行了隆重的传统欢迎仪式，坦军医疗服务部部长姆瓦米少将及部分军政官员，中国驻坦桑尼亚大使陈明健等使馆工作人员，当地民众、华人华侨和中资机构代表等在码头迎接。
This is the third time for the Peace Ark to visit Tanzania. During this visit, the Peace Ark will offer diagnosis and treatment services on its main platform. Meanwhile, more than ten medical teams will be dispatched to local hospitals, communities, and schools for medical tours. Medical staff from the two sides will jointly engage in diagnosis and treatment, academic exchanges, and health services. In addition, the commander of the Mission Harmony-2024 will meet with Tanzanian military and political officials and visit Tanzanian naval bases and medical institutions.
这是“和平方舟”第3次访问坦桑尼亚。访问期间，“和平方舟”号医院船在主平台提供诊疗服务的同时，将派出10余支医疗分队前往多个医院、社区、学校进行医疗巡诊，并与坦方人员开展联合诊疗、学术交流、健康服务等活动。此外，任务指挥员将拜会坦军政官员，参观坦海军基地、医疗机构。
The Chinese hospital ship Peace Ark previously visited Tanzania in 2010 and 2017, providing medical services on both occasions. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania. The ships visit will further consolidate the traditional friendship between the two sides and deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
“和平方舟”号医院船曾于2010年、2017年访问坦桑尼亚并提供医疗服务，今年是中国与坦桑尼亚建交60周年，“和平方舟”的再次到来，将为进一步巩固中坦传统友谊、深化交流合作做出积极贡献。
