GUANGZHOU, Sept. 2 -- The "China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation 2024" joint maritime exercise kicked off at a military port in Zhanjiang City, south China's Guangdong Province, on the morning of September 1.
广州9月2日电 “中新合作-2024”海上联合演习9月1日上午在广东湛江某军港举行开幕式。
As the third edition of the exercise, the "China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation 2024" joint maritime exercise features longer duration, more drill subjects and deeper exchanges than the former two events. Based on exchanges in professional fields, the exercise will be conducted in three stages including planning at the harbor, professional exchanges and joint maritime drills. It is scheduled to conclude on September 5.
这是中国和新加坡共同举行的第3次“中新合作”海上联合演习。跟以往两次演习相比，“中新合作-2024”具有持续时间延长、演练科目增加、交流程度加深等特点，以开展专业领域交流为背景，区分港岸筹划、专业交流、海上联演3个阶段。演习将持续至9月5日结束。
Participating ships from Chinese and Singaporean navies completed assembly on August 29. The two sides have carried out planning, discussion and multiple exchanges in professional fields, and held deck receptions, ship open days, city visits, ball matches and other cultural activities.
此次参演的中新两国海军舰艇已于29日完成兵力集结。中新双方开展了筹划研讨和多项专业领域交流活动，并举行了甲板招待会、舰艇开放、参观市容、球类比赛等文化交流活动。
In recent years, focusing on forging the brand of the "China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation" series of joint maritime exercise, the navies of the two countries have arranged mutual ship visits and joint exercises and training many times. The Chinese Navy had dispatched taskforces twice to Singapore to participate in the "China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation" joint exercise between 2015 and 2023 and achieved complete success.
近年来，中新两国海军多次互派舰船访问并开展联演联训，聚力打造“中新合作”系列海上联演这一品牌项目。2015年到2023年，中国海军兵力先后2次派出舰艇编队赴新加坡参加“中新合作”联演并取得圆满成功。
