BEIJING, Sept. 11 -- China's Ministry of National Defense will host the first "Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus" Young Scholars' Salon in Beijing from September 12 to 14. Youth scholars from the SCO member states, observer states, friendly states, and representatives of the SCO Secretariat will attend the event.
北京9月11日电 2024年9月12日至14日，中国国防部将在北京举办首次“上海合作组织+”青年智库沙龙活动，邀请上合组织成员国、观察员国、友好国家青年智库专家及上合组织秘书处代表出席。
Under the theme of "Live up to Youth Responsibility, Build Common Security," the event will arrange the representatives to participate in the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum and organize activities such as workshops and visits. This is one of the measures taken by China to actively fulfill its duty as the rotating presidency of the SCO and promote exchanges in defense and security. It will facilitate mutual understanding, trust and learning, and further contribute to the development of youth in defense and security cooperation and the building of a closer SCO community with a shared future.
本次活动以“担当青年责任，构筑共同安全”为主题，将组织与会代表全程参与第十一届北京香山论坛，并安排专题研讨、参观访问。这是中方积极履行上合组织轮值主席国职责、推动防务安全领域交流的举措之一，有利于增进相互了解、推动互信互鉴，为培育防务安全合作青年力量、构建更为紧密的上合组织命运共同体作出贡献。
