BEIJING, Oct. 8 -- The Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark, which is on the Mission Harmony-2024, arrived at the Port of Douala, Cameroon on Monday local time for a seven-day goodwill visit. It will also provide medical service there. This marks the Peace Ark's first visit to Cameroon.
北京10月8日电 -- 当地时间10月7日，执行“和谐使命-2024”任务的海军“和平方舟”号医院船抵达喀麦隆杜阿拉港，开始对喀麦隆进行为期7天的友好访问并提供医疗服务。这是“和平方舟”号医院船首次访问喀麦隆。
The Cameroonian side held a grand welcome ceremony at the dock. The Cameroonian political and military officials, staff of the Chinese Embassy in Cameroon, and representatives of overseas Chinese and Chinese-funded institutions, came to the dock to welcome the ship.
码头上，喀方为“和平方舟”举行隆重的欢迎仪式。喀方军政官员，中国驻喀麦隆大使馆工作人员，以及当地民众、华人华侨和中资机构员工代表等在码头迎接。
During the visit, the ship Peace Ark will use its main platform to provide medical service. In addition, it will dispatch expert teams and medical teams to local hospitals, the military and government agencies to carry out joint diagnosis and treatment, academic exchanges, equipment maintenance, and first aid skills training.
访问期间，“和平方舟”号医院船将利用主平台开展医疗服务，并派出多支专家分队、巡诊分队前往当地医院、军队、政府机构，开展联合诊疗、学术交流、设备检修、急救技能培训等活动。
Besides, the Chinese naval service members will visit local schools, orphanages, and military bases to deliver health knowledge lectures, conduct cultural exchanges, and hold friendly football matches with their Cameroonian counterparts.
此外，任务官兵代表还将赴当地学校、孤儿院、军事基地开展健康知识讲座和文化联谊，与喀军官兵举行足球友谊赛。
