XI'AN, Oct. 16 -- The third Course on Medical Aspects of Assistance and Protection Against Chemical Weapons co-hosted by the Chinese government and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) kicked off on Monday morning at the Chinese PLA Air Force Medical University .

西安10月15日电 14日上午,中国政府与国际禁止化学武器组织联合举办的第三期化学武器医学援助与防护培训班,在空军军医大学开班。

The course aims to enhance the capabilities of the OPCW member states in responding to chemical weapon threats, jointly implementing the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), and contributing to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Thirty-one trainees from 20 member states including Brazil, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Thailand and China will take one-week training course at the PLA Air Force Medical University.

此次培训旨在加强各履约国在应对化学武器威胁方面的能力,共同践行《禁止化学武器公约》,为构建人类命运共同体贡献积极力量。来自巴西、厄瓜多尔、德国、意大利、摩洛哥、泰国及中国等20个履约国的31名学员,开始在空军军医大学接受为期一周的集中培训。

The course will carry out in-depth discussion and exchanges focusing on the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of poisoning from chemical weapons, the medical evacuation and triage of chemical casualties, and the organization and implementation of anti-chemical medical rescue, among other topics.

The trainees are expected to obtain a full view and mastery of relevant knowledge and skills concerning medical aids and protection against chemical weapons and enhance their capabilities in responding to chemical weapon threats through theoretical teaching, case analysis and practical drills.

本次培训重点围绕“化学武器中毒的症状、诊断和救治”“化学伤员的医学后送及分类”以及“防化医学救援的组织与实施”等议题展开深入研讨交流。通过理论授课、案例分析、实操演练等多种形式,学员们将全面了解和掌握化学武器医学援助与防护的相关知识技能,提升应对化学武器威胁的能力。
