BEIJING, Jan. 9 -- Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met on Wednesday with visiting General Liu Zhenli, member of China's Central Military Commission (CMC) and Chief of the CMC Joint Staff Department, in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Anwar said that Malaysia and China are close and friendly neighbors, and he has met with Chinese President Xi Jinping several times. Seeing a strong development momentum of bilateral relations between the two countries, he hopes that the national defense ministries and militaries of the two countries further enhance exchanges at all levels, and jointly elevate both sides' defense and security cooperation to a new height.
安瓦尔说，马中两国是亲密友好邻邦，我与习近平主席多次会晤，当前两国关系发展势头强劲。希望两国防务部门和军队进一步增进各层级交往，将两国防务安全合作提升到新的高度。
General Liu noted that under the strategic guidance of two heads of state, the building of a China-Malaysia community with a shared future has reached a new level. China is willing to work with Malaysia to continue deepening friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between the two militaries in all areas and safeguard regional peace, stability, prosperity and development together.
刘振立表示，在两国领导人战略引领下，中马命运共同体建设不断迈上新台阶。中方愿与马方不断深化两军各领域友好交流与务实合作，共同维护地区和平稳定与繁荣发展。
During the visit, General Liu also met and had talks with Malaysian Minister of Defense Datuk Seri Mohamad Khaled Nordin, and Chief of Defense Force General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman respectively. They exchanged views on international and regional situations, military-to-military relations and other topics. The Malaysian side held a welcome ceremony before the talks.
访问期间，刘振立还与马来西亚国防部长哈立德、武装部队司令穆罕默德分别举行会见会谈，就国际和地区形势、两军关系等交换意见。会谈前，马方举行了欢迎仪式。
