BEIJING, Mar. 5 -- Liu Dejun, a spokesperson for the China Coast Guard (CCG), said on Wednesday that, with the permission of the Chinese side, the Philippines sent a civilian vessel to deliver daily supplies to its illegally grounded warship at Ren'ai Jiao in the South China Sea on March 4. The CCG questioned and verified the Philippine ship and supervised the entire process.
The spokesperson urged the Philippine side to honor its commitments, stop hyping up, and work with China in the same direction, so as to jointly keep the maritime situation under control. "The CCG will continue to carry out rights-protection and law-enforcement activities in the Nansha Qundao, including the Ren'ai Jiao, and their adjacent waters in accordance with law," stressed the spokesperson.
