NANJING, April 11 -- The China Coast Guard (CCG) successfully hosted the 25th North Pacific Coast Guard Forum (NPCGF) Experts Meeting in Nanjing, east China's Jiangsu Province, from April 7 to 11. The CCG, Canadian Coast Guard, Japan Coast Guard, Korea Coast Guard, Border Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and the US Coast Guard all sent delegations to the meeting for the first time since 2019. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Transport sent representatives to attend the relevant activities.

The NPCGF, as an important multilateral maritime law enforcement cooperation mechanism in the Pacific region, aims to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation among maritime law enforcement agencies and jointly safeguard regional maritime security and stability.
北太平洋地区海岸警备执法机构论坛是太平洋区域重要的多边海上执法合作机制，旨在加强海上执法机构间的交流与协作，共同维护地区海上安全稳定。
The forum consists of seven working groups (WGs), namely the Combating Illegal Trafficking, Fisheries Enforcement, Maritime Security, Emergency Response, Information Exchange, Combined Operation, and Secretariat WGs, with the CCG serving as the rotating chair of the Secretariat WG and leading the Combating Illegal Trafficking WG.
论坛下设打击海上非法贩运、渔业执法、海上安全、海上应急、信息交换、联合行动、论坛秘书等7个工作组，中国海警局轮值主持秘书组、牵头打击海上非法贩运工作组。
During the meeting, the attendees had in-depth and pragmatic discussions on topics such as enhancing multilateral maritime cooperation, jointly combating illicit maritime trafficking including illegal immigration and drug trafficking, coordinating high sea fisheries enforcement patrols in the North Pacific, exchanging experience in maritime emergency rescue and ecological and environmental protection, strengthening information-sharing in law enforcement, organizing joint exercises under the forum, and safeguarding maritime security and stability. Meanwhile, preliminary consensus was reached on the cooperation plan for the annual senior officials' meeting, reflecting the member agencies' positive willingness to promote regional maritime governance through multilateral cooperation.
会议围绕加强多边海上合作，共同打击偷渡、毒品等海上非法贩运活动，协调北太平洋公海渔业执法巡航，交流海上应急救援和生态环境保护经验，加强执法信息交互，组织论坛联合演练，维护海上安全稳定等内容进行深入务实讨论，就年度高官会合作计划初步达成共识，展现了多边协作推动地区海洋治理的积极意愿。
