VLADIVOSTOK, Aug.1 -- The Chinese naval vessels that had participated in the "Northern/Interaction-2023" exercise wrapped up a three-day visit to Vladivostok, Russia, and departed from the Golden Horn Bay, homeport of the Russian Pacific Fleet, on July 27.
On the morning of the day, sailors assigned to the Russian Pacific Fleet, representatives of the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Russia and local overseas Chinese saw the Chinese naval ships off at the dock.
During the visit, Chinese and Russian sailors held a series of friendly exchanges such as professional communication, cross-deck visits, and cultural and sports activities, which further consolidated the traditional friendship between the two sides, enhanced strategic mutual trust and effectively pushed the bilateral pragmatic cooperation to a higher level.
In the earlier "Northern/Interaction-2023" exercise, the Chinese and Russian participating troops carried out real-combat training exercises on multiple subjects including maritime and air escort, deterrence and expulsion, and anchorage defense, which effectively tested their combat capabilities in high seas and achieved the expected objectives.
