Chinese teams achieve good results in "Sayan Range March"

KRASNOYARSK, Apr.10 -- The closing ceremony of the "Sayan Range March" Snowfield Combat and March Competition, as a part of the International Army Games (IAG), was held in Western Sayan Range region, Krasnoyarsk, Russia on April 9, local time. The men's and women's teams dispatched by the Chinese military ranked second and first respectively.

During the two days and one night of the event, participating teams from seven countries engaged in intense rivalries on 11 courses such as avalanche search and rescue, casualty evacuation, group firing, cross-country orienteering and team skiing. In the event, each participant needed to ski to march over 50 km in total and pass six adjustment points with a burden of 35kg on average.

The Chinese military women's team, though participating in the event for the first time, topped nine courses and ranked first in the overall evaluation with 10,275 points in the women's group. The Chinese military men's team topped three courses and ranked second with a total of 10,260 points in the men's group.
