JAKARTA, Dec. 26 -- A Chinese naval taskforce, including the amphibious assault ship Hainan (Hull 31) and guided-missile frigates Hengyang (Hull 568) and Liuzhou (Hull 573), made a port call on December 24 at Tanjung Priok Port in Indonesia for a four-day replenishment and rest.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to ASEAN Hou Yanqi, staff of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and representatives from Indonesian naval base came to the dock to welcome the taskforce. During the port call, sailors of the Chinese naval taskforce will carry out cultural and sports activities with their Indonesian counterparts.
