BREST, July 8 -- The Chinese troops participating in the China-Belarus "Eagle Assault-2024" joint army training arrived at an air force base in Belarus via air transport on July 6, local time. The Belarusian side held a grand welcome ceremony for the Chinese participating troops according to traditional etiquette.
Focusing on counter-terrorism operations, soldiers from both sides will be assigned to mixed groups to jointly carry out hostage rescue and counter-terrorism operations. The joint training aims to enhance the coordination capabilities of the participating troops, and deepen practical cooperation between the two armies.
The Chinese participating troops are selected from a brigade under the PLA 80th Group Army. They have conducted intensive training on individual combat skills and unit tactical coordination before setting off. According to the commander of Chinese participating troops, the joint training will allow the two sides to learn from each other, enhance their operational proficiency, and further deepen military exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
