ZHUHAI, China, Nov. 11 -- The 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China 2024) will be held from November 12 to 17 in Zhuhai City, south China's Guangdong Province. According to the host, this year's airshow will focus on showcasing cutting-edge technologies and innovative breakthroughs in China's aviation and aerospace as well as national defense science and technology, and will build a platform for promoting international cooperation on aviation and aerospace technology. The upcoming airshow has a series of eye-catching features.

During this year's airshow, about four hours of aerobatic performance will be arranged every day, and aircraft of various types and aerobatic teams from China and foreign countries will present wonderful performances to the audience. The J-35A medium-sized multi-role stealth fighter jet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force will make its debut at the airshow. According to the plan, it will present aerobatic performances with two types of stealth fighter jets, China's J-20 and Russia's Su-57. The PLA Navy's J-15 series of fighter jets and Z-20J shipborne helicopters will also perform at the airshow to demonstrate air-to-air fueling, air assault and other operations. The PLA Air Force's Bayi Aerobatic Team, which is equipped with the J-10C fighter jets, will fly shoulder by shoulder once again with Russian Knights Aerobatic Team, which is comprised of the Su-35 fighter jets.

The PLA Army, Navy and Air Force will present an integrated display at the airshow. The PLA Army will dispatch multiple types of helicopters to the airshow, including the Z-20, the Z-10, the Z-8L and the Z-8G, among which the Z-8G will appear at the Airshow China for the first time. The PLA Navy will exhibit various types of active main combat aircraft such as its carrier-based J-15T, the Z-9F anti-submarine helicopter and the Y-8 anti-submarine patrol aircraft. The PLA Air Force will present its HQ-19 surface-to-air missile weapon system, new attack reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle and other equipment for the first time.

As for the scale of the exhibition, the airshow will provide 13 pavilions with a total of 120,000 square meters, 20% larger than last time, and about 230,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition area covering domains of land, sea, air, space, electromagnetics and cyberspace. At the airshow, the exhibits representing the world's leading technology will be displayed collectively. Furthermore, the airshow will set up an unmanned system demonstration area for the first time for different types of drones and unmanned ships to make their debuts.

A total of 1,022 companies from 47 countries will participate in this year's airshow, with the number of overseas exhibitors increasing by 104% over the previous event. Russia, France, the US, Saudi Arabia, Italy and other countries will send exhibition delegations to the airshow.
