BRAZZAVILLE, July 17 -- The 43rd Chinese naval escort taskforce arrived in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo (ROC), on July 14th, for a four-day friendly visit. The Chinese Ambassador to the ROC Ma Fulin, ROC Minister of Defense Charles Richard Mondjo, and more than 500 representatives from both sides welcomed the taskforce at the port.
During the welcome ceremony, Minister Mondjo, Ambassador Ma, and Commander Zhao Lang of the taskforce delivered speeches and expressed their shared vision of deepening military exchanges, enhancing maritime security cooperation, and jointly maintaining regional peace and stability.
Later, they boarded the guided-missile frigate Nanning, where Mondjo inspected the honor guard accompanied by the commanding officers of the ship.
Prior to this visit, the Chinese taskforce has already visited Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, and Gabon.
