GULF OF ADEN, Feb. 21 -- On February 19, the 47th Chinese naval escort taskforce conducted training in the Gulf of Aden on multiple subjects including counter-terrorism, anti-piracy, air defense, rescue of war wounds and ship damage control. The training tested the troops' capabilities of organization, command, and emergency response.
The 47th Chinese naval escort taskforce consists of the guided-missile destroyer Baotou (Hull 133), the guided-missile frigate Honghe (Hull 523), and the comprehensive supply ship Gaoyouhu (Hull 904).
