BEIJING, March 3 -- On March 1, local time, the 26th Chinese peacekeeping Level-II Hospital to UN Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) passed the UN equipment inspection in the 2nd quarter with high standards and won high acclaim from the UN officials. This was the first equipment inspection on the medical contingent in 2023.

A five-member UN inspection team dispatched by MONUSCO South Sector inspected the medical equipment and consumables, vehicles, weapons and ammunition, material reserves, warehouse management, communications equipment, and fire-fighting facilities, etc. All equipment was evaluated as meeting the UN requirements and capable of performing the UN-assigned missions.

"The Chinese Level-II hospital's equipment is in good condition and meets the inspection standards. I believe you have sufficient ability to provide medical support for nearly 3000 peacekeepers of the MONUSCO,” said Camacho, a member of the UN inspection team who has been frequently responsible for organizing the inspection work.
