BEIJING, March 14 -- At the invitation of the civilian department of the UNIFIL Sector East Command, the 21st Chinese peacekeeping Level-1+ Hospital to United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) sent medical personnel to Kafahama village in the south  of Lebanon on March 13, local time, to provide humanitarian assistance to the local people, including donating medicine and providing free clinic service.

The village, located in southern Lebanon near the border with Israel, has once been on the front line of battlefield, characterized by poor medical and living conditions. The local villagers have been in short of medical care and medicine for a long time.

The medicines donated by the Chinese peacekeeping contingent this time included antihypertensive and antibacterial drugs, as well as 52 kinds of commonly-used drugs and 6 kinds of medical consumables for external use, which serve to alleviate the current shortage of medicine in the village.
