Chinese peacekeepers complete engineering tasks in Menak, Mali

MALI, July 28 -- On July 27, local time, the Menaka detachment of the 10th Chinese peacekeeping combined construction engineering company to United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) successfully completed a 10-month construction mission and safely returned to the Super Camp of the MINUSM in Gao.

Located over 300 kilometers from Gao, Menaka is one of the most at-risk regions in Mali. Throughout the mission, the detachment's peacekeepers always maintain a high level of combat readiness and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies. Since its deployment, the detachment has successfully completed nearly 30 engineering construction tasks, such as the construction of helipads, air defense shelters, and defensive facilities, all of which have received high praise from the MINUSMA.
