Chinese peacekeepers upgrade airport facility in South Sudan

BEIJING, Oct. 12 -- Recently, the 14th Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), which is stationed in Wau, South Sudan, accomplished the Wau City Airport infrastructure upgrade and renovation task.

Despite high temperatures, the shortage of materials and equipment, and other challenges, the Chinese peacekeepers completed the task with high standards after nearly 20 days of continuous hard work, passed the acceptance by the UNMISS Engineering Department and won recognition and high praise.
