BUDAPEST, July 12 -- The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Hungary held a reception on July 10 to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). All diplomats from the embassy, led by Chinese Ambassador to Hungary Gong Tao, attended the event. Nearly 300 people, including representatives from the Hungarian Ministry of Defense, national defense forces, the government, parliament, economy and trade sector, education sector, as well as diplomatic envoys and military attachés from various countries stationed in Hungary, also participated in the reception.
Defense Attaché Zhu Yuxing said in his speech that no matter how the international situation changes, China will always be a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development, and a defender of the international order. The Chinese military implements the Global Security Initiative (GSI) and joins hands with countries around the world to build a world that enjoys lasting peace and universal security, contributing to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
President Xi Jinping's visit to Hungary in May has led the relations between the two countries to embark on a golden voyage. The relations between the two militaries have always been an important part of China-Hungary ties and played an important role in promoting the development of bilateral relations. In recent years, the two sides have achieved fruitful results in practical cooperation in strategic consultation, education and training, health care and international peacekeeping cause. The Chinese military will work with its Hungarian counterpart to promote bilateral cooperation to a higher level.
The guests congratulated on the 97th anniversary of the founding of the PLA, praised the Chinese military's outstanding contribution to providing public security products to the world, and expressed their wishes for the deepening of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in a new era between China and Hungary and more fruitful cooperation between the two militaries.
