BEIJING, Aug. 29 -- The technical specification for heat stroke prevention and treatment in the military formulated by the Expert Group of Heat Stroke Prevention and Treatment of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has been included in the national military standards, which is also known as Guojia Junyong Biaozhun (GJB).
Heat stroke is a severe acute illness caused by the disruption of the body's temperature regulation due to high temperatures, leading to body overheating and resulting in organ damage and failure, with a high mortality rate. The technical specification clearly defines the diagnostic criteria and treatment principle for heat stroke, and strictly standardizes on-site emergency care from multiple aspects.
