JINZHOU, March 6 -- The Education Department of Liaoning Province and the Political Work Bureau of the PLA Liaoning Provincial Military Command co-held a ceremony at Shiying Primary School in Jinzhou city, Liaoning Province, on March 3, to entitle it as a National Defense Education Model School.
A total of 10 schools in Jinzhou city were included in the list of the National Defense Education Model Schools, and representatives of these schools also participated in the event on the spot. It is learnt that a total of 164 primary and secondary schools in Liaoning Province have been awarded this honor. On the same day, similar awarding ceremonies were also hosted in Yingkou, Tieling, Fuxin, Huludao and other cities in Liaoning.
For a long time, primary and secondary schools in Liaoning Province have attached great importance to the national defense education for teenagers, established the national defense education counselor system, and carried out youth military schools, military summer camps and other innovative activities. The entitlement of the model schools is expected to promote the extensive and in-depth development of national defense education in schools.
