NINGBO, March 1 -- Bayi School of Zhejiang Province, a middle school jointly built by the navy of the Chinese PLA Eastern Theater Command and the Ningbo municipal government in East China’s Zhejiang Province, was opened to the public on February 22.
Based on the Ningbo Foreign Language School and with military participation, the school was built in a bid to facilitate the enrollment of military children into school. At present, the new school enrolls civilian and military children at both the junior and senior high school levels, and will gradually develop into a systematic school integrating preschool education, compulsory education and senior high school education in the future.
"The establishment of the school is a practical exploration to innovate the support for military offspring education, which will enhance the satisfaction of service members and their families," said the head of the navy of the PLA Eastern Theater Command.
