BEIJING, April 4 -- Recently, the PLA Joint Logistic Support Force (JLSF) organized the "Jingwu Joint Logistics-2023" command skill competition in central Guangdong Province. The competition involved 13 subjects from two categories and attracted more than 200 commanders and staff personnel from multiple units of the JLSF.

"In an era featuring integration and superimposition of information and intelligence, the form of warfare is rapidly evolving, and the quality of commanders has become the key to winning wars," said Zhang Chao, director of the training and management department of the JLSF, adding that this competition focused on assessment subjects including military theory, map measurement, image interpretation, communication equipment operation, and light weapon shooting, in a bid to test the command skills of three-level headquarters in the PLAJLSF.

Unlike in the past, the competition this year included the assessment of the brigade commanders. Through the test on command skills, military knowledge, command practice and comprehensive abilities, the baseline of the command skills of the brigade heads has been effectively identified.
