To mark its 74th birthday, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy has held several Open Barracks events in south China's Guangzhou City in the hope of bettering public understanding of the achievements of reform and development made by the national defense and the military. People are welcomed to three warships, "Hanzhong," a missile frigate, "Hejian," a new type of minesweeper, and a "Type 022" missile boat.
