BEIJING, Aug. 2 -- The 8th military training camp for national students, co-sponsored by China's Ministry of Education and the National Defense Mobilization Department of the Central Military Commission (CMC), kicked off at the Space Engineering University of the PLA Strategic Support Force on August 1. There are 576 student representatives from all over the country participating in this 14-day military training camp.
Events of the camp include lectures on space knowledge, live public classes on spacecraft launching, and visits to museums and space scientific research institutes. In addition, various military-related training activities such as live-ammunition shooting with light weapons, military map reading, medical rescue, camp and field training, as well as cultural and communicating activities, will also be held.
The military training camp for national students started in 2014. Since 2017, each camp has been hosted by one of the arms and services and focused on one specific theme, which has received high praise from all sectors of the society.
