BEIJING, Aug. 11 -- A brigade of the Chinese PLA 78th Group Army was assigned to search and rescue missing civilians in the forest zones of Mudanjiang City in north China's Heilongjiang Province, after the attack of floodwaters. There was no electricity or internet, and the roads were partially damaged. Troops searched for missing people by multiple means. The helicopters conducted close-range reconnaissance flight above the target areas, and the rescue teams broadcasted the contact information via drones. Water and land rescue operations were also carried out at the same time.
