ZHANJIANG, Aug. 31 -- The 43rd Chinese naval escort taskforce returned to a military port in Zhanjiang, South China's Guangdong Province on August 29 after successfully completing overseas escort, joint exercise, evacuation of Chinese personnel, and visit missions.

After 232 days, with a voyage of more than 120,000 nautical miles, the 43rd Chinese naval escort taskforce completed a number of escort tasks, contributing to the maintenance of the security of international maritime trade routes and regional peace and stability.

The guided missile destroyer Nanning had participated in the AMAN-23 multinational  maritime joint exercise, the Abu Dhabi Naval Defense & Maritime Security Exhibition, and the Security Belt-2023 maritime joint exercise in succession, which has further deepened the traditional friendship between China and these counties, and fully demonstrated the open and confident image of the Chinese navy.

In late April, the destroyer Nanning and the comprehensive supply ship Weishanhu had rushed to evacuate Chinese personnel in Sudan.

In addition, the naval task force visited Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Gabon and the Republic of the Congo, and conducted in-depth and friendly exchanges with the navies of five West African countries, further deepening political and military mutual trust and enhancing the traditional friendship between China and Africa.
