BEIJING, Sep. 4 -- According to the annual plan for international military cooperation, the Chinese naval training ship Qi Jiguang will visit Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Fiji during the midshipmen ocean-going training mission from early September to late October. During the training, midshipmen from five countries including Indonesia will join their Chinese counterparts and be trained in mixed groups.
It is designed to improve the operational adaptability and capability of Chinese naval officer cadets, strengthen maritime practical cooperation and mutual trust with the countries visited, and contribute to serving and building a maritime community with a shared future.
