BEIJING, Nov. 16 -- The Chinese PLA Army Engineering University will hold the 4th International Army Forum on Military Education in Nanjing city from November 20 to 25, said Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, when responding to the media's questions on Thursday. Representatives of military academies from Cambodia, Pakistan, South Africa, the UK, Argentina and other countries have been invited to participate in the forum, the spokesperson added.
Under the theme of "Future-oriented Army Officer Cultivation", the forum will carry out symposiums and exchanges around the topics such as the demands and changes of the cultivation of junior officers in the Army, the reform and exploration of Army academic education, and the opportunities and challenges of the Army's military education in the context of the digitalization development, he said.
The spokesperson pointed out that the aim of this forum is to research and explore the development trend and reform direction of the Army's military education, share the relevant practical experience and latest achievements, and promote international exchanges and cooperation in the field of military education.
