BEIJING, Dec.13 -- The 27th Chinese Peacekeeping Engineering Company to the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) recently passed the UN equipment inspection and received positive recognition. This is the first equipment inspection that the contingent has received since its deployment.
The inspection team, consisting of four UN staff members, visited the China Peninsula camp , Uvira detachment, and Baraka detachment to inspect and assess the contingent's equipment and materials. The peacekeepers of the contingent demonstrated their skilled operation of the equipment and introduced the status of the materials.
"This is also a test of the equipment management for the contingent. We will carefully review the previous work, and try our best to accomplish every task assigned by the UN to a higher standard," said the contingent commander.
